Research
This is my second project on the level 3 creative media course, this project is called the professional portfolio and here is my evaluation of the course.
Before we created our portfolios we had to research job roles and what differences they had from one another whether it be advantages or disadvantages as well as what purpose the job held.
after doing research on job roles we were tasked with finding three jobs of our choosing on creative careers and talk about what skill and experience requirements are needed as well as grades in education needed to get the job.
once these we're done we started to create some practice websites for our portfolio by using google sites, there was one website created as a practice dummy and another was created to experiment with animated backgrounds.
We also were tasked with reviewing three websites, two pre-selected by the tutor and a third website of our choosing, the third website I decided to do a review on a book website I use frequently called Book Depository.
Along with website creation we had done some graphic design works whilst creating google sites for our project, these graphic design works went from animating several PNGs to create a sort of introduction to animating a 3D image of our choosing from freepik, we also created some GIFs as part of our practical portion of the work.
Pre-Production
For the start of my pre-production I created a mind map and a blueprint design of my professional portfolio, I then later created a moodboard showing what I was basically going to put onto my portfolio.
By my own choice I created a video specifically for my portfolio, the video of which I'm talking about is basically a sort of compilation video of various clips from both my old recordings and streams that I meshed together.
I created a shortlist of videos and project files I was planning on putting onto my portfolio website in the form of a word document, I also went and filled out a risk assessment for my voice over recording and created a script for said voice over recording.
I was also tasked in creating an email to an imaginary company as a practice for my CV.
Production
Once I had done all this I started creating my google site professional portfolio which I then added all the videos and projects that I had selected for it as well as adding information about myself on it as well as well as the addition of a logo in the top left corner of the page.
Once the portfolio was done and I was happy with it I began to do my voice over recording for it which I did on campus and later edited the voice over and screen recording at home, when I was finally done with editing I exported it into a MP4 file, uploaded it to YouTube and later my webnode, and sent it to my teacher via email.
Evaluate
I believe that I did that I did well in this project, I was able to get my work done and was happy with the end result but I need to improve on my time management as well as focusing a bit and finishing my work a bit quicker, but besides that I believe that the project itself came out well.
